Testimonial: (Ms VHK, Manchester, Director of Media Company) An extremely professional, calm and clear manner and you are exploring territory that you initially thought may be of little relevance. Her analyses are very clever enabling me to make significant developments in a short period.
A. When you are coached by Winning Pathways Coaching you enter into a partnership based on tried, tested and proven action oriented conversations between you and the coach. It focuses on moving you from where you are now to where you want to be in your work and/or your personal life. You are capable of addressing your identified issues and able to achieve incredible things; the agenda is yours to set, as is the desired outcome. I listen on a deep level and ask questions to enable you to gain clarity, new routes to more diverse solutions, accelerated progress and increased and sustainable effectiveness.
A. Therapy is usually long term and deals with emotional and behavioural problems inherited from your past. The therapist diagnoses and usually has the answers. Counselling is similar in relating your present to your past, but is less intensive. Mentoring is commonly about getting programmed advice and suggestions from an experienced specialist with a trickle-down effect in relation to your development in specific areas. Coaching by Winning Pathways Coaching deals primarily with your present situation and enables you to move rapidly from where you are now to where you want to be in your professional or personal life. Based on an agreed time-scale and operating through a co-creative equal partnership, life coaching or executive coaching works around your agenda in which you find the solutions, rather than getting them from the coach.
When you receive either life coaching or executive coaching, you’ll experience clarity, growth, greater confidence, accelerated learning and progress, improved skills and performance, enhanced thinking, focus and new perspectives. It is frequently a refreshing eye-opening experience. You’ll learn to set effective goals and action plans and you get help with tackling those barriers that hold you back. You’ll get the kick you need to succeed. After you have been coached you’ll leave with tools that you can use long-term and with success in your chosen areas. By tapping into your own resourcefulness and experience, coaching helps you build greater purpose.
A.Think about the areas you wish to change and the outcomes you wish to achieve. Do you feel you will benefit from expert coaching and guidance? If these are unclear, coaching can help you gain clarity. Consider whether you have the will, time, energy and enthusiasm to make such changes though some of these can be generated in coaching sessions. Are you prepared for collaborative working, risk taking, being challenged and held accountable for following up your identified actions? The best way to discover if coaching could be just what you need is to contact me for a chat about what it can do for you.
A. You have a choice of types of coaching sessions i.e. face to face, by telephone, Skype or a combination. Your coaching starts with an initial induction, where we get agreement regarding number and frequency of sessions, our respective roles and information gathering on both sides. This may include information from the powerful “Wheel of Life” or if you’re a manager receiving executive coaching, the “Wheel of Management and Leadership’”exercise, which helps you highlight areas you may wish to improve on, although you may have sought coaching for a specific goal. We will define your primary focus and your goals and outcomes for the programme. Coaching sessions thereafter are usually conducted using the TGROWmodel. This involves:
- You choosing the Topic for the session and your Goal/desired outcome
- Exploring the Reality of your chosen topic
- Identifying and building greater Options for achieving your goal & selecting the most appealing of these
- Wrapping up the session with a related action plan.
Together we will identify your core values; we will work on overcoming any fears or barriers that hold you back and then I will give you techniques to help you on your chosen pathway. In between coaching sessions I can provide e-mail support if required.
